My Birthday Stroller

For my birthday a couple weeks ago, Jared gave me a fabulous running stroller. Here is a picture. As you can tell it has great shocks because the kids fall asleep on the bumpy trail while I run. I LOVE my new stroller! Thanks again Jared.

Mason's 2nd Birthday

Mason's 2nd birthday was October 10th. We had a fun day and Mason was very patient not to open his presents until Jared got home. He only snuck some of his cake once before I realized it was too close to the edge of the counter and he could stick his little fingers in and get the frosting.
Mason got so many great things from grandparents...Thanks again everyone. We couldn't pull him away from the first present he opened to focus on everything else(Thanks Maxine for the hammer game...he wouldn't let it go...he loves it!). But finally we got to the main event...
I sent Jared to the store the night before to pick out his present. I told him to get a truck and I was very specific in telling him that it couldn't be any bigger than a small toaster because there is no room for big toys. This is what he came back with...
Mason loves it! I don't know where we are going to put it, but the kids think its great.

Mia's 5th Birthday

Mia's 5th birthday was September 23rd. We had her party on Saturday and then she got to open her gifts on Sunday, her birthday. Here she is with her birthday haul
She and Mason love the skateboard. Now they can skateboard with Jared and not have to take turns on his big board.

Mia's 5th Birthday Party

Mia's birthday was a few weeks ago and these are the pictures from her pajama birthday party. The girls are watching the Twelve Dancing Princesses here.
All the girls came dressed in their pajamas and brought their pillows and blankets. Having all the pillows around facilitated many pillow fights throughout the night.
Mia's only request for a cake was that it be purple and pink and rainbow with spinkles. So the frosting is purple and pink with sprinkles and the cake is rainbow chip with rainbow food coloring swirled in.
The girls made little bead bracelts and painted their nails. Add some pizza, cheetos, and popcorn, and what more do you need.

From left to right: Sammy, Olivia, Bella, Mia, Payton, Lizzy. It was a really fun night, but after several hours of hyper girls, I was glad that Mia is too young for an all night sleep over.

Jeff's Birthday Visit

Jeff decided that for his birthday present this year he wanted plane tickets to come see us(the Rockies tickets that Jared has access to had nothing to do with his desire to come visit). This is a huge deal because I know he was planning on asking for money to buy a CD player for his car. So my parents bought him plane tickets and Jared got hold of box tickets for all of us to see the Rockies game.

The kids had fun buying Jeff's favorite treats to wrap for presents; hanging up the birthday decorations; picking out doghnuts, and blowing out Jeff's candles.

We had a wonderful, but too short, weekend with Jeff. The Rockies have been "Jeff's team" for the last several years.(I don't get it, but I guess guys have to declare "their team" that they officially cheer for) Jeff was like a little kid in a candy store. He walked all around the stadium getting the view from every angle. He made sure he got his picture taken with the mascot. He bought a signed ball, a hat and an official jersey. He even had me take a picture of him catching a fake foul ball. The kids had a blast. Uncle Jeff is a favorite with them. Thanks for the visit Jeff!

Mason Chillin' in the Reading Chair

I caught Mason reading in the kids reading chair and I thought it was cute. He was "reading" one of Mia's princess books and he found the one story with a tiger in it and was mezmorized.
