This is how I found Mason the other day. He had pulled his little rocking chair up to the counter and just dug right into my whipped cream I had just made for a batch of crepes.

Easter
We had a fabulous Easter. We didn't do anything too exciting, but it was just a really nice day. The kids colored the eggs on Saturday and had fun dipping in different colors to see what shades they could make. We all spent too much time finding eggs and eating candy before church, but we made it. We had a little egg hunt outside after church with our friends the Johnsons. Then we had our Easter dinner and I guess I don't go all out very often because both kids very uncharacteristically ate a ton. Mia kept saying this is the best dinner ever. The reason was two fold....1-I let her eat cold carrots instead of the cooked ones and 2-Jared got to eat with us which doesn't happen very often. It was a great day! Happy Easter!

Happy St. Patty's Day
We went to the Doctor again this week to get the short cast on. The Doctor said we could just get a removable brace fitted to his arm. He warned me that he needed to wear it any time he is active, but the times when he's not active I could take it off. I looked at him like he was crazy and said that he would be wearing it ALL the time except in the bath, and even that would be risky. The Doctor then said we better put the short cast on after all then we'll get the brace in a couple of weeks.
I was surprised that Mason told the Doctor that he wanted a green cast. All week he has said he was going to get a red one and I have told the little voice in the back of my head that thinks red is a girly color to be quiet and let him pick. Well, I like the green one, and it works great for St. Patrick's Day, so we all win.

The last remains of the CPA
Hooray!!!! He Passed!!!!!
For those of you who don't know, Jared passed his last section of the CPA exam! If I hadn't seen it first hand, I wouldn't have believed how hard and LONG he has worked trying to keep up with work, church callings, family, teaching early morning seminary, and studying for this horrible test. I am so happy for him. So this post is me paying homage to my amazing husband who really is a wild man at heart, but has unleashed his inner nerd and become a Certified Public Accountant...Yes, he wears a pocket protector to work Every Day!
Fort
Since Jared has been gone so much since busy season started in January, Mia has been taking great pains to plan out every moment that he is home. Last week she planned a pizza party all week for Saturday night. This is just the last phase of the party. After we ate the pizza Jared brought home, we went for a long stroller walk and then Jared built this fort for the kids to watch a move in.
